“Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.” – Proverbs 31

Several months ago the Lord placed on my heart the need for personal, intimate fellowship with other women. I really didn’t know the details, so I prayed. Then I prayed with my prayer warrior, Kelly, what that looked like. Then, through several conversations with other women, I realized that there was a need for other working mothers to fellowship and talk about being a new working mom, a seasoned working mom, and an everything in between working mom. This wasn’t something advertised, but instead I sought out 3 women in different seasons with different stories and struggles. Those women invited two other women to hear and share their personal struggles. The end result: women pouring into other women with vulnerability and encouragement.

There is a real place for the working mom, the stay-at-home mom, the mom-to-be, the barren and struggling to get pregnant mom, the single mom, and the widowed mom. There is also a place for young women, single women, and women navigating the waters of dating in this 21st century. We need and desire connection with other women who are sharing in our seasons whatever that season may be.

God used me as a catalyst to bring His daughters together. These women exchanged numbers and for some reconnected from quite some time ago. One of these ladies shared that although they were so different in their younger years, it was like their season in life brought them together. My comment in return, was “Only Jesus…” Only Jesus can use our circumstances and situations and bring the most different of people together with such unity and beauty and grace.

Ladies, you are not alone in your journey wherever you are on your map. God did not design us to do this life alone – there is a reason we have the example of the Trinity to follow in our every day living. Other women will come and go and some seasons will be short, long, and if you’re fortunate enough – a lifetime. It takes a village of accountability, discipline, and grace. And your village may be big or small or change several times throughout your life. Regardless, find your village, get rooted, and seek the Lord together and unified.
